We created Conscious Recruitment out of a desire to do recruitment better. That meant going back to the drawing board and exploring new ways to serve our clients, our job seekers and our planet.
We saw that the methods used by big recruitment agencies weren’t really aligned with the needs of small businesses, so we set out to change that. Instead of supplying every industry under the sun, we honed in on what we knew we were good at: civil engineering. We ditched cookie-cutter recruitment processes in favour of forging meaningful relationships. And we swore to never introduce a candidate to a client unless we honestly believed they’d be a good fit.
We also saw a valuable opportunity to embrace more eco-friendly practices. To do our part in keeping the planet clean and green, we pledged to contribute 1 percent of all our revenue to environmental programs and plant 1,000 trees for every successful placement.
These core principles formed the foundation of Conscious Recruitment – and they’ve been guiding our business ever since. Over the years, we’ve developed strong networks of qualified job seekers and successful consultancies, and established a reputation as one of the country’s leading engineering matchmakers.
